The right food depends on your pet’s age, size and health. Puppies and kittens need growth formulas with more protein and fat; adult animals need balanced maintenance diets; and seniors often do better on lower-calorie, joint-supporting food. Small breeds and large breeds also have different kibble sizes and nutrient needs, and cats shift from kitten to adult formulas as they grow.
